Nitrogen inertization with residual oxygen monitoring
With nitrogen inertization, the test chamber is initially purged with a large volume of N2 until the oxygen content is less than 3%. Afterwards, it switches to a base flow (approx. 10% of the large volume).
The nitrogen flow at the base quantity is measured by a flow meter, displayed, and monitored by a limit switch.
O2 monitoring continuously extracts gas from the test chamber via a flame arrestor and passes it through an O2 sensor that monitors the residual oxygen content. The gas is then returned to the test chamber via a second flame arrestor. The extraction pump is monitored by a flow meter. For further details, refer to the Dräger operating manual attached.
The gas installation is currently out of service!
