Company Planit was founded in 1993, with the purpose of development and application of plasma technologies. Plasma nitration and plasma spraying- technologies with the widest possibilities for application in industry, were set up to be a priority.

Planit was founded by Dr. Tomislav Gredic, which was motivated by his previous scientific research done on Faculty of Electrical Engineering in Belgrade, Institute of Nuclear Science Vinca and CESREM Institute in Paris. Years of experience in industrial application of parts treated with plasma nitration and plasma spraying in scientific institutes, served as the basis for technological improvement and development of those technologies in Planit.

Since plasma nitration took the central position in the development of Planit, a team of engineers in 2002 projected and put into operation the self-made facility Planit 2000.

Thermal treatment of steel was introduced in the production program of Planit in 2003. The technical possibilities of equipment for the implementation of this technology have been constantly improved ever since.

Cooperation with multidisciplinary engineering groups enabled PLANIT to successfully carry out engineering and consulting in the treatment of functional surfaces, as well as to perform complex installation and reparation procedures for facilities, circuits and parts in different industries.

In cooperation with foreign partners, Planit has been involved in production of castings with from steel, grey and nodular iron with high functional demands in thermal plants, car and tractor industry.

To be able to carry out innovative research projects related to implementation of plasma technologies, Planit is competitive on the calls for the use of European funds for funding small and medium enterprises.
